How can I get rid of embarrasing psoriasis?

Just gorgeous dahling asked:

I have this dry patch of skin on my neck. It's kind of reddish and looks like a hickey. My boyfriend even asked me who I was making out with!!! It's been there for about 3 weeks, it itches, and it feels like a different texture from the rest of my skin. My mom has psoriasis and said that's what I have. How do I make it go away!!!!!

My uncle has very bad psoriasis. He says your diet has a lot to do with it. If you eat a lot of fruits and veggies it can help. Also, sunlight and soaking in a warm bath help.

I would go to a dermatologist. He/she can prescribe a lotion or some other medicine to help you out.

I don’t think you can get rid of psoriasis, but I had a friend with it all over her body. She used a cream with emu oil in it and it relieved hers alot. She put it on and tanned and said it helped.

You can buy the oil by itself or mixed in with a cream. Use the stuff at night though or when you’re at home because it kinda smells like….well chicken or something.

Also, try some oil of oregano (mediterranean) kind. Not the cooking stuff it works wonders on MANY ailments. Got rid of my daughter’s thrush, when the antibiotics didn’t even work. Needs to be the oil. Put a link for the oil of oregano.

my sister had it when she was young, somehow it mostly disappeared in her early 20s! she used lots of vitamin e oil.. aloe.. and do NOT scrub at it..that will worsen the condition. also there is a product called “ancient earth” that is a mud mask with natural ingrients i hear works excellent, try www and the name i mentioned…goodluck

you need to see a dermatologist if at all possible, but in the meantime try some cortaide ot cortisone cream. a pharmicist may be able to help you with something otc. also you can mix desitin and calamine lotion together and try that good luck

Use a mild cleanser when washing and always keep hydrated. When really inflamed, use hydrocortizone cream, but manage with Aveno wash and lotion.
